Freedom to Reject..

God gave us the freedom to reject him. But why? Shouldn't he want us to be his and his forever, and never leave him? Or does he want us to see that we can say yes and no, but wouldn't he want us to say yes?
So, why are the demons? God could have stopped them and satan, too. He could make it possible for them not to hurt us or others. Why doesn't he do that? Why does he make us go through pain, let us get hurt. He could stop that, why doesn't he?

bell went have to go.

Why does he let it happen? He is God, he can do anything. He could have let Adam & Eve have a second chance, but he didn't. WHY? We have freedom, which means that all those bad things can come to us, and happen. But he could stop it, why doesn't he? He could save us from satan.
All i really want to know is why? Why did he give us freedom? Why did he not kill satan or zap him with lighting? Why do we have a choice? Why do we have freedom to reject him? WHY??

mae girl,
so many questions!! wowzers! demons....you are beginning to sound like your brother :) anyway, on the freedom thread, here's a thought - is love really love if a person doesn't have a choice but is forced to love? maybe that's why God gave us freedom ... freedom to love him so that it is truly love and not just robotic, mechanical love that is not meaningful or heartfelt. God wants relationship, not coercion. yeah, that's my thoughts for now....we can talk about it more. i love you tons!

If I didn't have the choice to love God and obey Him I would be like a puppet with God pulling the strings. When we choose to love Him we are rewarded with a personal relationship with our Heavenly Father and the gift of eternal life. God has a wonderful, exciting plan just for your life, but...you must choose Him now in order for Him to work out that plan!

I think the reason why is because His love is so big that it goes past what He wants and lets what we want be first. I am convinced that His love - when we really get our hearts in tune with it - changes everything... most of us never come close to really understanding the heights, depths, width and length of His love. Yep, Why? LOve. Not a love that we usually give or recieve on earth but no greater love has one than to lay down His life for another. He lays down what He wants and lets us choose though I am sure it breaks His heart when we reject Him. Lana ;) Good questions dear.
